ACESO
The ACESO project focuses on establishing an advanced screening infrastructure for early-stage drug discovery, enabling researchers to rapidly translate their ideas into chemical molecules. Through the implementation of automation, robotics, and modern assay technologies, ACESO provides a compact yet high-quality screening platform in Oss that is accessible to academic groups, start-ups, and small companies. The project allows researchers to carry out pilot studies across a range of disease areas — including cancer immunotherapy and long COVID — without the need for major equipment investments.
The consortium collaborates with regional and national partners to make the infrastructure operational and to optimize it, as well as to conduct case studies that demonstrate the platform’s effectiveness and flexibility. In doing so, ACESO acts as a bridge between science and industry, accelerating the translation of innovative ideas into candidate medicines.
Objective
To create an accessible and future-proof screening infrastructure that accelerates the development of new medicines and supports researchers in translating their ideas into tangible chemical starting points.
