Wanted: Companies for Pilots in Early Drug Discovery Training

News December 18, 2024

Is your company struggling to find well-trained personnel for roles within early drug discovery? Radboud University, HAN University of Applied Sciences, and Elevate, who are running the PharmaNL project Early Drug Discovery Education Track, invite companies to collaborate and participate. This project, part of PharmaNL’s Human Capital Growth program, focuses on developing innovative training programs that address the HR challenges of today and tomorrow within the Dutch pharmaceutical sector.

According to Martine Schaeffers, educational advisor at Elevate, the project is currently in the preparatory phase of the first pilots: “Based on a gap analysis, we are assessing what companies currently and in the future need in terms of professional skills for their employees. We will translate this knowledge into courses, with the first course on Organic Chemistry in Early Drug Discovery set to be tested in pilot form at the beginning of 2025.” The courses will be offered in a blended format, combining in-person sessions in Central Netherlands with online materials.

Why participate?

By taking part, companies have the opportunity to evaluate the courses and ensure they align perfectly with their practical needs. They can also have employees participate in the pilots to provide feedback and help improve the effectiveness of the training. This is a unique opportunity to strengthen the sector, expand your network, and prepare for future challenges.

Which Companies?

“We are looking for companies active in early drug discovery who are willing to contribute to testing or developing our courses,” explains Schaeffers. “There are no restrictions on company size or number of employees. The key is that participants are willing to give feedback and share their insights.”
