News August 18, 2026 ZonMw expects to launch the final call for proposals under the PharmaNL Shared Development Infrastructure (SDI) programme line on 1 September 2026. This programme line focuses on strengthening the infrastructure for the development, scale-up, and production of innovative medicines in the Netherlands.
Projects must address the priority themes outlined in PharmaNL’s revised 2026 investment agenda (see Part III: SDI).
An online information meeting will be organized for potential applicants. The aim of this meeting is to provide details about the call for proposals and the grant application process. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions during the meeting. This meeting is tentatively scheduled for 1 October at 16:00. Information on how to register for this online meeting will follow at a later date.
This grant round consists of a project idea phase and a grant application phase. During the project idea phase, the programme committee assesses project ideas based on relevance and general quality. The committee selects the projects that best align with the objectives of the call for proposals and show the most promise. These projects receive a recommendation to develop the project idea into a full grant application.
PharmaNL is organizing ‘Connection Days SDI’ around the time the new grant round opens. The Connection Days are scheduled for 16 September (Leiden), 24 September (Groningen), and 29 September 2026 (Oss). ZonMw will attend these meetings to explain the call for proposals and provide an opportunity for questions.
