The PharmaNL programme is entering its next phase. In preparation for the 2026 subsidy rounds, the Investment Agendas for Human Capital Growth and Shared Development Infrastructure will be reviewed and enriched with the latest insights. Input for these investment agendas is drawn from the GAP Analysis and from contributions gathered during expert sessions.
For this reason, PharmaNL will organise a new Expert Event for the Shared Development Infrastructure programme line in 2026, on Wednesday 1 April at Lygature in the Jaarbeurs, Utrecht (14:00–17:00).
Background of the Expert Event
In 2024, PharmaNL developed an investment agenda to define the thematic priorities for the National Growth Fund grant awarded to PharmaNL. Based on this agenda, ZonMw launched funding rounds in 2025 and awarded projects accordingly. In these first rounds, a total of €24 million was made available for Shared Development Infrastructure projects and €6.7 million for Human Capital Growth projects.
We are currently revising the PharmaNL Investment Agenda to provide further substantive direction for the new funding rounds that will be launched by ZonMw in 2026. As strengthening the national education and training landscape is one of PharmaNL’s key objectives, input and validation from the various clusters and regions are essential. The clearer we can articulate regional priorities, the better we can develop a nationally aligned Shared Development Infrastructure Agenda that effectively addresses the diverse challenges across regions and stakeholder groups.
Your contribution is therefore important not only for PharmaNL, but also for your pharmaceutical-oriented network.
Expert Event – What to Expect
The meeting on 1 April will focus on the priorities within the Shared Development Infrastructure component of the PharmaNL Investment Agenda and will help shape the funding call to be launched by ZonMw in the fall of 2026.
During the meeting, we will provide further background on:
-
The process of revising the PharmaNL Investment Agenda
-
The progress made through already funded projects
-
The input collected from stakeholders in the field regarding priorities
We will invite you to reflect on our findings based on your regional knowledge, your specific subject-matter expertise, or your national involvement in related initiatives. If you believe a colleague would be better positioned to provide input on this topic, we would be happy to hear from you.
